Mariko Mori

Shortly after creating her first piece in the late 1980s, artist Mariko Mori left her native Tokyo to study art in London. Four years later, she relocated to New York and has spent her time moving between the three cities. But with a focus on how the people of the world interact with each other and their environment, Mariko’s creativity regularly takes her much farther afield. Her latest project: to place a large, inspirational public artwork on each of the six habitable continents.
